Characteristic
Inconel X-750 alloy is mainly a nickel-based superalloy strengthened by aging with gamma"[Ni3 (Al, Ti, Nb)] phase. It has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance below 980 (?), high strength below 800 (?), good relaxation resistance below 540 (?) and good formability and weldability at the same time.
application
The alloy is mainly used for manufacturing plane and coil springs of aero-engine working below 800 C and requiring high strength and resistance to relaxation. It can also be used to manufacture steam turbine blades and other parts. Varieties available are sheets, strips, bars, forgings, rings, wires and pipes.

Metallographic structure
The standard heat-treated structure of InconelX-750 alloy consists of gamma matrix, Ti (C, N), Nb (C, N), M23C6 carbide and gamma'[Ni3 (Al, Ti, Nb)] phase. The content of gamma'is about 14.5%, which is the main strengthening phase of the alloy.

1. InconelX-750 alloys are easy to form at forging temperatures ranging from 1220 to 950 C. The alloy is treated by solid solution after intensive forming process.
