1.5223, DIN 42MnV7 Mechanical properties,Our production completely according to the 1.5223, DIN 42MnV7 standards to meet the 1.5223, DIN 42MnV7 mechanical performance, can also according to the customer request, to meet the requirements of customers of 1.5223, DIN 42MnV7 mechanical properties.
VMV175 is a heat treatable, low steel/" target="_blank" class="keylink">alloy steel containing manganese and vanadium.
Applications
Low and moderately stressed components for vehicles, machines and engines.
Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature
Modulus of elasticity [103 x N/mm2]: 210
Density [g/cm3]: 7.85
Soft Annealing
Heat to 640-780oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 217.
Normalizing
Temperature: 860-890oC.
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 850-880, 840-870oC followed by oil or water quenching.
Tempering
Tempering temperature: 480-650oC.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1100-850oC.
Machinability
Machining is best done with this alloy in the annealed or normalized and tempered condition. It can be machined by all conventional methods.
